I wanna drive a Ferrari...

Our tour of Tuscany eventually came to a close, and then we all drove up to Vicenza where my family stayed at our house for ten days to explore Venice and the rest of the Veneto region. But on our way back up to Vicenza, we stopped in Modena to visit the Ferrari Museum.

The Formula 1 Racers

This was Dal's favorite, the 458 Italia.

I'm not much of a car fanatic, but even I could appreciate the beauty of those luxury cars. The Ferrari Museum was a fun pit stop on the way to Vicenza. However, for the price of entry (we paid 9 euro per person for family tickets, but it is normally 13 euro per person) we expected the museum to be a little bigger, and well, more interesting. It only took us like 45 minutes to have a pretty good look at the museum. I think the men were also a little disappointed because the focus of the museum was more on the Formula 1 racing cars, while they were more interested in the Granturismo models.

Outside of the museum there are several places you can test drive a Ferrari. It seemed like kind of a rip off, because it was like 50 euro for a 15 minute test drive, and there wasn't really any areas nearby where you could drive very fast. However, at these test drive stops you can look at the Ferraris for free, if you would rather do that than pay to go in the museum.

Basically, the museum was fun, but don't make a special trip out to Modena to see it, because you will be disappointed. But, if you happen to be passing by and you have an interest in Ferraris take a look!
